Is it truly powerful to ‘swear on the Bible’?
Once you change things, because they are too religious, it means that you shouldn’t be using the Bible at all. The Bible is too religious - you use it to swear on. What does it mean, to swear? You are to say the truth in front of all the people. In different cultures, different forms are used – like the Peace Pipe in Native cultures. Other religions always say you are to believe and be honest ... for Allah for instance.
Did you ever open the Book? Is it sacred? Does it guide you to be honest?
The First Law says to recognize your Father. Learn to respect the Laws that were given to Moses. Even here, our Parliament building has a replica of the tablets with the Laws.
Open the Book. It says you are to close businesses on Sunday. We don’t respect Sunday. The book also says you are to learn from your Father. Go to school and plan the future. The Law also says to be honest ... not to sin, not to kill. But here, in Canada, we kill.
Religious people aren’t welcome in Government.
If you plan to sin with married women – you break the Laws again. Don’t lie. Respect the Laws, to be honest. Respect all the Laws.
Make sure, in all the religions of the world, that you do not kill in the name of God. Do not use His name for that.
So I ask you ... are you a liar to use the Book to sin? Are you honest? Think about it.
When you marry, you swear to love forever...
You break everything.
