Thank you Canada not only to be the Champions but now all the people recognize a gift and why

March 2, 2010

Sports are very important but sports need to learn something new because a lot of people become champions over the years, doesn’t matter women or men.  But first recognize the gift the athletes, the athlete’s families and the nation give to each other.

At these Olympic games we have learnt a lot; some people died, an athlete from Georgia died and even though it was hard for his fellow team mates, they continued on for him; a daughter becomes a bronze medalist in figure skating even after losing her mother suddenly just before the games because she said, “I know my mother would what me to do this and become a champion.”  Even the dead become champions through the living.  Plus also a young man broke records because his brother was there.  His brother is sick so when this young man skis he wants to break records for his brother.  Also another athlete was so shocked by the poor in Vancouver that she donated money to help them.

Gold means nothing to me. What is more important is you believe to break records and the support they get from their loved ones and the whole nation makes them want to become champions.

Me I say thank you to the athletes because to me I learnt so much from all of you.  It is more powerful than going to university.  Because you believe.  Also you teach others to be better, to break records.  You are all champions, from our country Canada as well as the other countries.  I encourage all of you to keep going, even those from other countries.  But more importantly you become champion because you feel freedom to recognize something powerful, not because you are scared of your country.  Freedom is here.

Why do people break records?  I am not here as a religious man at all.  But first to believe to become better is the miracle because you believe in the future and break records.  It is the same as one who is religious, you both believe.  That why God’s name is ‘I Am’.  All of you become one.  You believe to be strong.

When a Hebrew went to talk to God because he was angry, he said, “Where are you?”  God said “My name is I Am.  Calm down.  Don’t uses excuses to be weak.  Become a champion.  Teach people to recognize the gift of love.  Learn from your heart.  And teach people to be strong like you.  That is why My name is I Am.”

Don’t be like a religious man.  Learn to be like God, the best in the world.  Don’t you know why?  It is because you believe.  Because your brother was there, you became champion, “My mother died so I’ll break records”, you were moved to give money to the poor, you devoted your race to your fellow team mate, you made a difference and then all people want to become better.

An old man teaches the young to be stronger.  Say to the young, “Exercise with me.  One day I’ll be old but you must continue. You will be Champion.”  That means today a mother and a father are very sacred because the children believe in the father and mother.  They feel in awe because “My mother and my father will be proud of me.”  Congratulations mothers and fathers because your young ones believe because you believe in them.  The champions are all of you.

Every country I say Congratulations!  I wish for the whole world, all countries, to recognize freedom but for now continue for your country. Freedom is more important than to force people.  You do more good by freedom than to force them.  When they do it by freedom, they do it from the heart but when they do it by force they are doing it because they have to.  When you do something by the heart it is felt by others.  That is what these athletes have done.  That is why they have become champions.

Canada, it is very important that we break records to learn.  So fascinating.  Congratulations for every country.  Continue to live freedom and recognize the gift through love.  You become like a champion through love.  Congratulations!

Yours truly,

Roger Poisson with the Spirit
