It's So Easy to Win!(The Residential Settlements)

We must force ourselves to learn... we are here to save lives!

What’s the percentage of people who are dying now with more money from the settlements, than were dying before? 

PLEASE WAKE UP!  Don’t be angry, be balanced. 

We have learned from a Canadian report that if a person doesn’t work at all for two years, it is impossible for him or her to work and love life again.  Now, the Indian people are forced to stay and do nothing, in the name of God.  And now the government says that it is important for the Indian people to work.  Shocking!  But now, we are hearing this news.  It is really happening!

A few years ago, I was on TV to help Indian people to change their lives with love, not with money.  After seeing this program, a top Manitoba doctor, Dr. Blue, called me, nervous about an Indian woman who he was treating.  The woman had been violent, unhappy and wished to kill herself and had come to me for counselling.  She changed immediately.  The doctor was nervous and didn’t know how to proceed, saying that her happiness was not normal. But the woman and I reassured him that she had learned how to love from the heart and not to be overtaken by her old ways.

From this same TV program, many Native people called me to come and help them because many of their people, especially the young, were dying.  There was a little boy who killed himself because his dog had been killed.  Imagine, a little boy wanting to give his life for his dog because someone killed it.  No one cried for that.  I remember saying that I would go to their community but in my mind, it was the first time for me to be with Indian people and I was wondering ... “What am I to do?  They are so big and tough.”  I remember the little boy’s shrine and everyone around it crying.  (Can you imagine these really bad people were actually crying?)  I was a little nervous.  I looked at all the crying women and said, “Do you realize now that the dog is more important for the boy than all you people were for him?  Do you know why?”  They just looked at me.  The Spirit guided me to say: “love from the heart; love all boys, girls, little children, and they will stay forever, learning to continue and loving life.” 

In the past, Indian people were forced; they couldn’t speak because of others who said that they loved God.  Why do you now say, “I’m sorry.”  Can you say that God is with you?  Not at all!  You are still laughing at them like before... with grinding up the rats and putting them in the food at the Residential Schools, with the poverty, with the submission.  Is this in the name of God?  No nothing at all is there!

 A priest spoke to me before he died and said, “God Himself can’t win against these savages!”  Well, if you believe this, you are a hypocrite.  That same priest disallowed people from listening to me.  He published this in his church.  We have the proof.  Can you say that you are there in the name of God??  WAKE UP! 
 
How often have I written to bishops, priests, and others to help Indian people?  Not one has answered and still they don’t believe...in the name of God?   At least they could say what they don’t believe in.  Not one has written.  Indian people believe in what we do.  We have been to Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.  But no priests have come forward.   They don’t believe what I say for them. 

Please listen.  Wake up and love Indian people....everyone! 

TV has recently shown us that we are losing even more Native people through suicide now, after they have received their money, than before they got the money.  Why is it getting worse?  Do you think they are so bad?  No.  Listen.  Wake Up!

A bishop has said to me that Indian people don’t trust the Whites.  That’s why priests of different nationalities and colour are put on reserves.  Do you know why?  Is it really because of the White, non-White issue?  No.  You must learn to love, not put yourself above others as if you are so powerful.  The Mass is empty.  People don’t believe anymore.  In some places, the Mass looks like it is increasing.  But if you look, it’s made up of more people of different races who are learning to love. 

Why when people are given a lot of money, do they still wish to die?  What can we do?  Are we so nice and they are so terrible?  There are no excuses to not be happy!  To learn to love is more important than the goods that you have. 

Some years ago, a bishop returned my phone call.  I told him, “It doesn’t matter how much you pray.  Love the people.”  A French lawyer who managed church business was with him and was telling him about the cost of the settlements.  “Pay them”, he said, “and then let them go to hell.”  I said to him, “You pray but things are worse, because you really don’t love the people. It’s bullshit.  You will see that you will lose everything because after the payout, you will have to clean everything again.”

One person can begin the change to show how to love.  Change yourself, not to save money but to see how possible it is to love from the heart.  I am not angry with the priests, but when I hear the prayer for vocations in the Mass, I realize that they must change within themselves, like all of us, and then many will come forward to become priests.

Today, 98% of the people who have come here have changed their lives.  Women who used to party and drink have changed their lives, cleaned up everything and are happy, really happy.  We continue to work for everyone and they believe in us, follow the teachings and know that we love them.  They have changed.  It is fascinating!

Today, we must wake up!  Pride makes you sleep forever. 

A while ago, a Native woman I know was arrested for drunk driving.  Shortly after that, she wrote me saying, “I don’t trust the priests or anyone at all, except you.”   She is in prison now but when she gets out, she is determined to come and see me.  What is fascinating to me is that in all this time, not one person has ever asked me for money.  Are we here to make money?  Not one person has demanded money from me to pay them for wrongs from the past.  I work for nothing and I am still here for the people.  It costs nothing.  A few people truly believe in the work and give small offerings but not one can say that I got paid to help people.

Congratulations to the Indian people.  You recognize right away that we love you.  You drive long distances to see me.  When you love and are happy, we see that you pray and love without anyone forcing you to. 

Those on TV ask, “What can we do?”  Mr. Phil Fontaine has known me for a long time.  Recently, at an Aboriginal healing meeting at the Forks in Winnipeg, he saw me, was surprised and said, “What ... are you still there, Roger?”   I call him but he is too busy to call me.  Not  long ago, I was with Mr. Elijah Harper, to support him when his daughter killed herself.  But we are all too busy being the boss, even though people are dying.

It is time for people to learn to love from the heart instead of being busy and I’m paid to do this.”  Unless you realize that someone loves you truly, you cannot love others.  It’s as simple as that.

Everything is getting worse.  Shut up.  Learn to listen and love from the heart.  Every race knows that I love them from the heart.  If people feel it is your duty to care for them, do they feel your love?  No.  All Canada could be finally happy.  Women could be protected and respected because you love from the heart.  That’s all.  You will feel this.  You will win everything because others will become more important than yourself. 

I will never forget this:  I saw a drunk outside at three in the morning.  After talking with me, he called out to me, “Please swear to me to teach all people to be loved and to love.  Please help me.  You will always love me, I know.”  Do you know where it was that I had found him lying?  In the cemetery.  I had asked him, “Why don’t you come to my house to sleep and get warm?” He said, “I’m here because I want to die and I’m closer to them here.”  I’ll never forget this. 

 I don’t say, “in the name of God ...and to hell with all the rest.”   I love people and feel sorry for the priests that don’t understand anything.  When you learn to love from the Spirit – to learn to be love, everything will become clear.  I am happy every day.  Everyone knows that I am there for them.  What’s more important than this?  God bless you, from the love in my heart, without which there is nothing.
