Thank you so much for writing to us and please accept our apologies for not having answered you sooner. Last October you wrote to us and asked what we opposed and what principles we supported. We hope this response will make it clear where we stand and that you will stand with us.
The PPP opposes any form of tyranny against the mind of man. Any person, group or institution that attempts to undermine the integrity and freedom of another has disengaged itself from its populace by setting itself apart and above others. It is impossible for peace and prosperity to exist when one person or group establishes itself above the other. Never can this type of domination lead to peace.
It is important to recognize that a country’s people are its power. We can only achieve peace by working together toward common goals. This is why we elect people to represent us in this process and when they do not work in the best interests of those who chose them, they have failed and instead of working for the people they are working ‘off’ the people.
The PPP opposes secrecy and working behind ‘closed doors’. When something is good it can be shared with anyone and everyone; but when something is only good for a few (the rich and powerful) and bad for the rest (the majority) they must of course hide it from view. This is another form of tyranny where one group suppresses information from the rest because as they put it, ‘They wouldn’t understand anyway’ or ‘It’s better this way!’ Better for whom?
It is this form of separation that makes it easy to control a people. Togetherness and unity are dangerous to those who control with the mentality of ‘us’ (the rich) and ‘them’ (the poor).
Turn on the light! Make everything transparent. Then you have true inclusion of a country’s greatest resource…its people. Then all groups can work together. Only then can there be trust where all operate in an atmosphere of true sharing and true respect.
We are opposed to silence. Let Canada be the meeting place (Kanata) it was meant to be. It is time for all people to talk together for the purpose of understanding one another and this can only be done by sharing our thoughts and worries; our hopes and dreams. And soon what might have looked on the surface like differences has now become an opportunity to express shared values and to move forward towards greater understanding, love and respect. These are the building blocks for a better Canada. Silence breeds confusion leading to fear, anger and resentment shutting out the light of Truth that would bring clarity to all.
We are opposed to elitism. Why has it come to this…a ruling class and a people, ruled? How could democracy have gone so wrong? Doesn’t democracy (by its very nature) offer power to the people and equality in all things? And yet in our Canadian system of democracy there are many things that de-value the human. We have seen (past and present) how ‘certain minorities’ have been ignored by our governments. Minorities generally feel isolated. We are all brothers and sisters in our hopes and desires for a better world and for our families and friends to be happy at last. It is time we thought of each other as family again working together for the whole family of Canada to realize our shared and beautiful Dream of peace and prosperity.
You have asked us a powerful question and we hope that in this brief response we have begun to answer you. Please write us again with any other questions or comments you might have. As well, you have asked us where we stand on the current issues in Canada. For this we will direct you to our Policies link at http://www.peoplespoliticalpower.ca/policies/.
Again, please call or write anytime. We value the fact that you are interested in making Canada and the world a better place. What are your dreams? How can we help? Let us know.
The PPP Family
