“Healthcare” means caring for your health. Caring is a word that we tend to use lightly nowadays, but it is not used lightly when someone has felt caring from someone else.
“I didn’t know you cared...” “Thank you for caring so much – you changed my life...” “How can you care so much for me?”
Caring for someone can bring that person out from a pit of despair, or from any place of hopelessness. Sometimes, even if we are unable to help someone physically, who has been in a disaster or has gone through a seemingly minor problem, we may be too far away or find it is impossible to do anything for them, we can still hear the person say, “Just knowing you were there for me in your heart gave me the support I needed to go on.”
When people are truly cared for, heaviness is removed from them. They feel lighter, relieved and often experience a profound sense of relief. From this, everything is affected. Their breathing changes, their stress levels go down and the people around them feel relief too. We all experience a feeling of well-being – of wellness, together.
When we care for each other, really care for each other, we will see amazing changes. All of our systems will improve ... not just our bodily systems. Our immune systems do improve through caring. When your mother was there for you when you were sick, she gave you a loving hand and a bowl of warm soup. You recovered. Her love and caring put you at ease, and you got better.
When we remember the lessons of caring, we will see our health care costs diminish by at least 50% in three years, or less. It all depends on you and me. It depends on the quality and amount of caring that we are willing to give to one another. The government is you and me. There are too many people who are not being cared for.
Caring for people does not belong to departments or agencies. It is for all of us to do for each other. With these understandings, we will even reduce the need for doctors and hospitals, because we will all be on the “front lines”, caring for each other.
This Party is for real. We have real answers for real problems. We are not a religious Party. We are a Party that understands the love of a family and the love that is possible between people. This is the most powerful natural resource that is just waiting to be used. And it is free for the giving. Take care.
